Dear Janet

This is just to thank you for all your kindness when I stayed recently at your outstanding bed and breakfast at Spuce Hill Manor.

I have over the years stayed at many B&B's in many countries especially in the UK and continental Europe. Although I have had many excellent experiences of B&Bs, I don't think any has come up to the standard of comfort and kindness of Spruce Hill. My room was most elegant, with many lovely details of furniture and porcelain, and quiet, and with a view over the garden. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices of good things.

Above all though was your kind thoughtfulness with giving advice about visiting places in Philly; providing information, and, when the taxi services let me down, your going more than the extra mile to ensure I caught my train. I am most grateful to you.

With all best wishes
