Q. Do you have private bathrooms?
A. Yes we do! All of our rooms have private bathrooms. Set-ups within the bathrooms vary. For example, some rooms have a shower but other rooms have both a shower and a bath. Within the Rooms tab (above), you can see what each room’s bathroom includes so that there is no guessing when you are booking a room.
Q. Is there parking available?
A. Yes, parking is available. There is free parking on the street between the times of 10:00AM and 4:00PM. We also have two parking spaces available in our driveway on a first come first serve basis. For more information, please visit our Parking & Getting Around tab (above).
Q. What does breakfast include?
A. Breakfast includes continental plus foods: breads, baked goods, fresh fruit, an array of cereals, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and among other items. Please visit our Breakfast tab (above) to read more about your breakfast experience.
Q. Can I invite friends or family to eat breakfast with me even though they are not staying at Spruce Hill Manor?
A. Yes, conditionally. You may bring your company to eat breakfast at no extra cost but please make sure to let staff know about the extra guests as you may need to check if there will be enough seating to accommodate them. Many of times Spruce Hill Manor is fully booked and we will need to seat overnight night guests for breakfast before outside visitors.
Q. What kinds of amenities do you have?
A. In every room there is a hairdryer, shampoo, soap, extra blankets and towels, air-conditioning and heaters, maps of Philadelphia, glassware, silverware, dishes, microwave, mini fridge, Direct TV, free Wi-Fi, clock/radio, toiletries, iron and ironing board. The dining room is also open 24/7 so guests may help themselves at any time to snacks throughout their stay.
Q. Do you accommodate guests who need an extended stay?
A. Yes, per special request. We have had several guests stay for longer periods and we loved having them at the manor. Potential guests wishing to stay at Spruce Hill Manor for an extended period of time will consult with Janet Reitano, Owner. Please feel free to reach her at 215-472-2213 for further information.
Q. Do you have a cancelation policy?
A. Yes. When a reservation for major events such as conventions, graduation, sporting events, etc. is canceled prior to 30 days before your stay you will be charged a $35 dollar service fee and then the balance of your deposit will be returned to you. However, if a reservation is canceled with less than a 30 days’ notice, your deposit will be non-refundable and you may be charged the full amount eqaul to the reservation. For regular stays, a five day notice is requried in order to receive the rest of your depsosit after the $35 service fee and the same applies for charges if not notified within this time period. Reducing the number of nights of stay and/or the number of rooms reserved is considered a cancellation. Standard policy is subject to change during high season and on major weekends. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Q. Is Spruce Hill Manor fit for young children?
A. No. Spruce Hill Manor is a quiet and older Victorian home with many antique furnishings and china that decorate the manor. Accidents do happen, so for the safety of the young ones we do not permit children to stay with us who are under the age of 9. Thank you for your understanding.
